Argon arc welding uses argon gas as the protective gas and is isolated from the air. Argon gas itself does not melt into the metal. It can weld easily oxidized metals and active metals. The arc is stable, and the small current arc can still burn. It is suitable for welding thin plates. The welding wire does not pass current and has no splash.
