1. Pickling method suitable for drawing wire rod and semi-finished products

Taking wire rod as an example, several common pickling processes are described. As for the semi-finished products after heat treatment, they are generally directly pickled without further shelling and rust removal. The other operation sequence is the same as that of wire rod.

(1) The pickling process mainly consists of shelling and adding lime paste.

Wire rod - → shelling and derusting - → Pickling - → water washing - → high pressure water washing - → greasing lime paste - → drying

This process has been widely used in the past, which is suitable for drawing of blank and semi-finished products of plain carbon steel wire, structural steel wire, steel cored aluminum stranded wire and general spring steel wire. The disadvantage of the existing process is that it is replaced by other processes.

(2) The pickling process mainly consists of shelling and rusting.

Wire rod - → shelling and derusting - → Pickling - → water washing - → washing with high pressure water - → rusting - → dipping with thin lime water - → drying

This kind of drawing dust is less, and it is one of the most widely used at present. It is suitable for drawing blank and semi-finished products of plain carbon steel wire, structural steel wire, rope making steel wire, steel cored aluminum stranded wire and general spring steel wire. Some units also do not need to rust the process, after washing directly stained with ash.

(3) The pickling process mainly consists of shelling and phosphating
