The difference between the original bill of lading and the telex bill of lading

- Sep 03, 2020-

The difference between the original bill of lading and the telex bill of lading is that the former is a certificate of cargo title (except for the registered bill of lading), that is, the consignee must extract the goods from the carrier on the basis of the original bill of lading; That is to say, the so-called "tele-release bill of lading" is that the shipper requests the carrier to allow the consignee to pick up the goods with a copy or photocopy of the bill of lading. In other words, there is no such format as "tele-release bill of lading", but the consignee is allowed to pick up the goods with a copy of the bill of lading.

And the two cannot appear at the same time-if the shipper applies for telex at the time of shipment, the carrier will no longer issue the original bill of lading, and only give the shipper a copy of the bill of lading. If the shipper applies for tele-discharge after the carrier issues the original bill of lading, the shipper must return all the original bill of lading in full, and the carrier will perform tele-discharge processing.
